Transition Facility project “Protection of Communities’ Financial Interests and Fight Against Fraud”

Achieved results:

• Risk assessment methodology was prepared, meant to proper and timely conducted identification and assessment of the risks related to support funds received from EU and other foreign countries.

• Educational needs were assessed and training strategy for FCIS officers was established.

• 8 seminars and 2 study visits were organized, in which 189 FCIS officers and 123 civil servants from other Lithuanian institutions participated. During these seminars and visits, the participants were acquainted with other EU institutions combating fraud and conducting prevention of offences, as well as their conduction of risk analysis and management, VAT fraud and related financial crime investigative practices.

• Specialized IT equipment was acquired.
